Summoning là atmospheric epic Black mê tan band sinh ra từ Lord of the rings (cái giè liên qua đến LOTR mềnh đều kết, hê hê)
Âm nhạc của Sum vốn dĩ là black, u ám, rầu rĩ nhưng ko hề đen tối. Mang ảnh hưởng đậm của LOTR nên black metal của Sum còn đậm chất epic anh hùng, mà được thể hiện rõ ngay từ những Farewell (rân ka số 1)
Cá nhân tớ còn thích nhạc của Sum vì nó còn phảng phất chất Doom lạnh lẽo như band đồng hương Estatic Fear nữa, đượm buồn, u ám một chút nhưng thật cuốn hút
